Michelin Guide Moves Up Chicago Announcements To Tomorrow

Late breaking news from the Michelin Guide that the restaurants that earned stars in the upcoming Chicago edition are being announced tomorrow.

Michelin isn't talking, but there's speculation among Our Town's food cognoscenti that the reason for moving up the announcement stems from, of all things, this thread on Yelp that purports to know which restaurants earned stars. the Yelp user who started the thread said that some pre-ordered Guides have already been mailed out, which it how he came to know of the list.

Both Anthony and I have been aware of the thread but thought nothing much to it; there's always some "news" being posted on Yelp that almost never pans out. If Michelin is releasing the guide announcement tomorrow because some retailers mailed out Guide pre-orders a day or two early, well, that's the type of publicity that money can't buy, It also shows that sometimes monkeys banging on a keyboard can write something substantive.
