Both the Blackhawks and Bulls resumed their road trips yesterday. How did they fare?

Basketball

Nuggets 98, Bulls 97: The Bulls, playing without Derrick Rose, manned up and nearly stole one from the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center in Denver, before Carmelo Anthony casually drained a 23-foot jumper as time expired. Rose was held out of the game with a stiff neck. C.J. Watson, filling in for Rose, scored a game high 33 points and led the Bulls from a 19 point deficit to take a 97-94 lead in the final seconds. A valiant effort by the Bulls.

Hockey

Blackhawks 4, Ducks 1: The Blackhawks overcame another sluggish start in the first period to beat Anaheim at the Pond. Duncan Keith had a short-handed goal in the second period, Patrick Sharp, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Troy Brouwer each scored in the third period and Corey Crawford was solid in goal again for the Hawks.
