Teenager Questioned In Murders of Police Officer, CHA Cop

A 19-year-old gang banger is being questioned as a "person of interest" in the murders last week of Chicago police officer Michael Flisk and CHA policeman Stephen Peters.

Flisk and Peters were killed last Thursday while investigating the theft of Peters's red Mustang. It's been theorized that the suspect came back to collect stolen cash hidden in trash cans and started shooting when confronted by Peters and Flisk.

the murders of Flisk and Peters capped off one of the most violent weeks agains t cops in recent memory. Earlier last week, officer David Blake was killed in his SUV on the 2900 block of west Seipp. Over 500 officers attended Blake's funeral. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information related to Flisk's and Peters's murders.
