TRAX Records Releases Juke TRAX 2 And 20th Anniversary Compilations; We Get Housed

trax.jpg Chicago-based TRAX Records - a pivotal house label since the early '80s - released two compilations over the past week, Juke TRAX 2 and TRAX Records: The 20th Anniversary Collection, and both are a treat. Juke TRAX 2, comprised of thirteen tracks, is a nice throwback to classic Chicago house and juke sounds. The latter, The 20th Anniversary Collection, lays it down with essential house tracks, including ones from icons Frankie Knuckles and Marshall Jefferson.

TRAX is sort of nonexistent on the internet, but, luckily for us, they've got just enough web presence to host a Bandcamp page. It's there than you can stream the two compilations and a few other releases for free. Whatever keeps house alive.
