Watch "Mad Men," Earn Credit at NU

2010_11_30_mad_men.jpg A Northwestern history professor and fan of the AMC series Mad Men has managed to combine the two into a course that he's now teaching at the university.

Michael Allen, who teaches post-1945 U.S. history, said the main objective of "Consumerism and Social Change in Mad Men America, 1960-1963" is to show how the 1950s and early 60s are connected and formed the foundation for the social justice movements of the era.

Or he could just have as huge a fascination with Christina Hendricks as we. We don't know for sure. Allen is "teaching" the first season now and said he'll continue "if the maintains its high quality." Since we're four seasons into Mad Men, is he not certain?
