Forgotten Chicago Looks at Edgwater Golf Club

The fine folks at Forgotten Chicago have posted a history of the former Edgewater Golf Club and its kicking-and-screaming-all-the-way fight to the beautiful homes and egalitarian warren Park that it is today.

It's an engrossing read that may take a little longer than a lunchtime browsing to let fully sink in. But, as FC's Serhii Chrucky writes, "reveals much about the complicated process of real estate development in Chicago."
