The labyrinthine rhythms of Chicago-based experimental quartet Mahjongg are good for many things. Depending on the track, the group’s deft blend of Afro-pop percussion and trance-inducing synth-tronics has listeners either frantically on their feet, or zoning out with chin-stroking aplomb. But is there room for soundtracking an online foreign policy pissing match on that list?

Curious parties will have to wait and see. According to A.V. Club Chicago and K Records, Mahjongg has donated a new track, “Born In America,” to Like Badgers And Birds, which is a compilation to benefit online whistle-blowing organization Wikileaks. Let the trolling commence!

Whether you want to kick it Olbermann-style or just want to spread your Jonah Goldberg-esque vision of the world through online discussion, Mahjongg’s warped vocal manipulations, and pounding electronic drum beats will sure get your heart pumping.

“Born In America” sounds like Mahjongg updating Psalm 69-era Ministry to reflect new millennial anxieties. Aggressive stuff that borders on industrial, and pretty much a 180 degree turn from their 2010 release, The Long Shadow Of The Paper Tiger.

If you genuinely support Wikileaks, or just want to listen to “Born In America,” head over here, where you can stream or download the album. Proceeds go to Wikileaks .
