Say hello to Sergiu Muresan, readers. If this resident of the West side did indeed throw a puppy into traffic, as he's been charged with by Elmhurst authorities, then he just earned a stocking full of coal and a Code Red beatdown with said stocking.

A witness to the incident said he saw Muresan toss the puppy from his car near North Ave. and Route 83 on Dec. 11. Muresan allegedly waved the witness off in an attempt to flag him down. The puppy, a 45-pound mixed breed, was, remarkably, uninjured.

Muresan surrendered himself and posted bond to Elmhurst Police> He's due in DuPage County Court on Jan. 24. If convicted, Muresan faces a year in jail, a maximum fine of $2,500, and more possible stocking beatdowns.
