To Start All-Star Game, Rose's Vote Total Needs to Go Higher

Fan voting for next month's NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles closes in nine days. In the past two weeks, Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has moved up to second-place among Eastern Conference guards, passing Boston's Rajon Rondo but trailing Miami's Dwyane Wade. If the voting holds up over the next week, the Eastern Conference will have a backcourt of Chicago natives starting the game and, given that playing defense seems to go by the wayside in NBA All-Star games, the chances of having more "Derrick, Don't Do 'em Like That" moments on a national stage gives us chills.

But this is Chicago, don't take anything for granted and do what is your birthright. Stuff the ballot box.
