The USA Is Awesome... And Illinois Is "Most Average"

We argued over the USA movie map. We missed the United States of Shame map. So to make up for that, we bring you this map* listing the finest things that each individual state has to offer. And out of all the things that Illinois excels at, creator Ilya Gerner has found that Illinois is (cue drumroll) ...the "most Average." Here's a sentence never before written: Ah, to be Nebraska.

While it's great to be so "not great but not terrible," we can do better than that, right? Here's the where, why and how of the map as it stands, but in the spirit of the United States of Awesome, let's continue the list of all the truly awesome things about the state of Illinois. You start. I'll be over here thinking of some.

*And why are maps the big thing now? Internet trends, Itellya. No sense.
