Michael Jordan Suits Up, Shows Young'un Bobcats How To Practice

For those of us who had the privilege of watching the Bulls rule the basketball world at the end of the last century, part of our brain will always believe it's 1993. Some small hunk of gray matter still lives in a world where Michael Jordan will always reign supreme, and the Pippens, Armstrongs, Grants and Kukoc-es are still shooting hoops winning games and riding the high of the first Threepeat.
That's why it just feels good to see MJ taking the court to show these young whippersnappers how it's done. The AP/FoxSports reports that Jordan joined his Bobcats for a full-court scrimmage. Jordan fired coach Larry Brown earlier this year, and him taking the court to show his players a thing or two about a thing or two presumably underscores his desire to return to the playoffs for a second year.
So if you want to see, for the first time in quite a while, Michael Jordan shooting a couple free-throws, take a look at the above clip. With all due respect to the current Bulls roster, we can't deny getting a kick out of watching a 47-year-old man just shoot a basketball. But as much as we get our nostalgic heartstrings yanked by seeing MJ on the court again, it does make us glad to see this reported as well:
But you can be assured upgrading the team won't include another Jordan comeback. Jordan was slumped in a chair with ice bags strapped to both knees at the end of the workout.
We'll take our moments where we can get them, but we believe His Airness knows enough not to give it one more shot.
