What Would You Pay to Hear This Man Speak?

Looks like Mayor Daley can add "public speaker" to his post-mayoral plans. Daley signed with the Harry Walker Agency, whose roster of speakers include former President Bill Clinton and cycling legend Lance Armstrong.

Da Mare has said that he would like to try his hand at public speaking once he leads office, along with writing a book and maybe teaching.

"Both U.S. and abroad," Daley said of where he will likely give speeches, though he does not have any specific engagements in place. "I'll talk about leadership, talk about government, talk about decision-making."

Mayoral spokeswoman Jacquelyn Heard said other speakers represented by Harry Walker command up to $50,000 per speech. Whether Daley can command those numbers is unknown. But we imagine an incentive plan where he receives extra money on top of his fee for every malapropism he utters.
