Early Voting Numbers Are Up Over 2007

2011_2_17_boardofelections_logo.jpg NBC Chicago is reporting that early voting numbers for the municipal election are nearly tripled the numbers for the 2007 municipal election, which they say is not bad. "(C)onsidering early polling stations were closed for two-and-a-half days during the blizzard, it's considered a success."

Well yeah. As we noted yesterday, the numbers are also impressive in part to the face that early voting is now more established in Chicago than it was in 2007, as well. As of yesterday, 73,251 voters cast ballots.
