SUV Lands on Blue Line Tracks

A woman allegedly speeding down Taylor Street on the Far West side early this morning hit a concrete barrier head on, flipped her vehicle and landed upside down on the Blue Line tracks that run parallel with the Eisenhower Expressway. When police and rescue officials found the woman, she was sitting on the tracks, which shorted out when her truck landed on them. Otherwise, we may be talking about a fatality here.

The accident occurred around 3 a.m. and didn't interrupt Blue Line service, amazingly.
