Burge Reports to Prison Wednesday

Burge's attorneys asked the U.S. Bureau of Prisons to take his health into consideration in sentencing him. They must have listened. Butner has a medical facility able to accommodate Burge's ailments; he's due for a followup prostate cancer procedure in April. Burge also looks to be getting out early by participating in an alcohol treatment program, which usually shaves time off one's sentence.
Butner also has medium- and low-security wings in the prison, which Burge's attorney's were also hoping would be taken into consideration in his sentencing. They didn't want Burge in a prison where he may have been confronted by criminals he dealt with while he was a cop.
