2010_2_3cimm.gif The Chicago International Movies & Music Festival, or CIMM Fest, is back for another year of cool documentaries, narrative films, concerts, discussion panels, and assorted awesome events. It runs April 14-17 at a variety of venues. Weekend passes granting access to all 30+ movies are now on sale for the ridiculous price of $45.

And what a lot of movies. Documentary subjects include "Charlie Brown" jazzman Vince Guaraldi, Mott The Hoople, The Replacements, Fishbone, and Industrial titans Ministry. There are also several narrative films, ranging from the culture clash comedy of Bollywood Dream to the mesmerizing stop-motion animation of Gravity Was Everywhere Back Then. The planned live events are equally intriguing, especially a Bloodshot Records Showcase wherein the label takes over Big Star for an afternoon of DJ sets, performances, and a film screening.

So click on over and check out the full lineup (and consider volunteering--your magnanimity will get free admission to any screening).
