"One for the Road:" Yuri Lane

Yuri Lane may be based in San Francisco, but his occasional appearances in Chicago make it feel as though we should claim "the Human Beatbox" as one of our own. But Lane is much more than a musician. His play From Tel Aviv to Ramallah: A Hip Hop Journey blew the cobwebs off Around the Coyote a few years back. Lane's also provided music for dance recitals by DanceWorks Chicago and performed as a part of This Country's F$cked. We love him best as the Human Beatbox.
