No Shortage of Applicants for Top Cop Job
The Police Board tasked with bringing candidates for the Chicago Police Superintendent job to Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel announced that more than 40 police have applied for the position. Philadelphia Police Superintendent Charles Ramsey, who was considered Emanuel's pick for the job, removed himself from consideration after a month-long flirtation in which he reportedly demanded a $400,000 salary for the position.
