April Showers Bring May Flowers, Break Rainfall Record


We all know it's been a really obnoxiously, depressingly rainy month. But it also broke the Illinois record for the rainiest April, previously set in 1957 at 7.13 inches. Average state rainfall this April was 7.45 inches, nearly twice the typical average of 3.83.

CBN reports, "Rainfall amounts ranged from 4 to 6 inches in northern Illinois, to 4 to 10 inches in central Illinois and 10 to 15 inches in southern Illinois.
