Morning Box Score: White Sox' Home Cooking Anything But

By Chuck Sudo in News on May 17, 2011 3:10PM

Rangers 4, White Sox 0

The White Sox returned to the house of horrors that is U.S. Cellular Field after an impressive 6-3 West Coast swing and may have been feeling they should have stayed on the road. Rangers starter Colby Lewis had a no-hitter broken up with one out in the fifth inning and White Sox hitters struck out seven times while managing one base on balls the entire game. Edwin Jackson continued to struggle on the mound. Jackson was tagged for the loss and gave up 11 hits over 5.1 innings. The White Sox have now lost 10 of their last 11 at home.

Reds 7, Cubs 4

There was a lot not to like in the Cubs' loss to the Reds at the Great American Ballpark. Carlos Zambrano took the loss after being staked to a 4-0 lead. Big Z tried to shoulder the responsibility for the loss afterward. But Mike Quade was having none of it and called a team meeting after the game, Here's how it went.
