Morning Box Score: Sour Notes to Interleague Play for Sox, Cubs

Dodgers 6, White Sox 4

Sergio Santos blew his first save opportunity of the season last night, giving up a home run to Russell Mitchell to tie a game the White Sox were one out away from winning. Santos later gave up three runs in the 10th inning to earn the loss and waste a quality start from Phil Humber. Gordon Beckham hit a two run homer for the White Sox, who send Mark Buehrle to the mound this afternoon.

Red Sox 15, Cubs 5

The Cubs made their first trip to Fenway Park since the Braves played in Boston (their first time to face the Red Sox at Fenway since interleague play began 14 years ago) and they brought the bad fielding with them that plagued their losses earlier int he week to Cincinnati. Adrian Gonzalez drove in four runs and Kevin Youkilis knocked in three, including two on his eighth home run, to pace a 19-hit attack as Evil Empire 1A routed the Cubs.
