It was a tough battle, but not tough enough as the Chicago White Sox fell flat after what seemed to be an endless game. Fourteen innings, 14 hits, and 8 runs later the Sox became victim to Corey Patterson's walk-off home run in a 9-8 loss to the Blue Jays in Toronto.

The White Sox were down by two, tying the game at 8 in the ninth as they continued to play basically another half of a game. They did what they did best, stranding 10 runners on base, and went 5-for-18 with runners in scoring position.

Edwin Jackson ended up with a no-decision and allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in 6 2-3 innings, with a walk and 7 strikeouts. Gavin Floyd came out of the pen in the 13th for his first relief appearance since Aug. 2007.

Brent Lillibridge continues to turn heads as he had a home run and a triple in Saturday's loss.
