Devin Davis Rainbow Connects With Lovers, Dreamers & You

Having called for all the lonely people of the world to unite way back in 2005, Chicago power-pop practitioner Devin Davis is no stranger to uplifting melancholy.

So, naturally, Davis is a perfect fit to cover the Kermit The Frog-sung "Rainbow Connection," the opening song to 1979's The Muppet Movie. The lyrics are filled with depressed longing, but the music is uplifting, and the vocal melody lilting. Davis, in his solo acoustic rendition, does this dichotomy justice while adding his own lo-fi, eclectic touches.
