Adler Planetarium Plans To Up Admission Fees

Maybe it's inflation, maybe it's budget cuts. But Adler Planetarium is planning to boost general admission fees by $2 across the board, pending approval from the Chicago Park District, the Sun-Times reports. That will raise the entry fee to $10 for Chicago residents and $12 for non-residents. Seniors and kids still get discounts, but they'll pay an extra $2, too.

It's still cheaper than New York's Hayden Planetarium at $16 per adult. In California, budgets cuts forced Los Angeles' Griffith Observatory to shut down all operations every Monday and Tuesday.

Or, if you want to save a few bucks, you could just stop by Adler Planetarium during a weekday this week to take advantage of their Discount Days.
