Forecasters Warn Against Hot Weather

By Chuck Sudo in News on Jun 7, 2011 6:20PM

It just seems as though we only put away the windbreakers and light sweaters a couple weeks back. Now local meteorologists are warning that today and tomorrow are the hottest temperatures the Chicago area has seen in nearly five years.

Today's projected high at O'Hare of 95 degrees is supposed to be the highest recorded temperature since a 97-degree mark on August 2, 2006. Heat advisories have been issued for the area through Wednesday as dew points in the mid-to-upper 60s could drive the heat indexes above 100 degrees.

So bring an extra SIGG bottle for water with you. And sunscreen.
