New Food Vendors for Lolla Announced

2011_6_6Lolla.jpg This year, Chef Graham Elliot will be bringing even more great food to Lollapalooza, continuing last year's efforts to improve the offerings at the festival. Elliot's Lolla work was well-received last year and promises to get even better. Eater Chicago reports that new restaurant participants include Saigon Sisters, Sola, The Gage, Henri, Jam and Wao Bow. We're particularly excited about Henri, which will be serving up a "Henri banh mi" and pork rinds with vadouvan curry.

Big Star and Sunda will not be returning (Elliot attributes this to the difficulty of feeding so many people with such limited facilities) but most other headliners from last year will be coming back. Eater has the complete list, but highlights include:

· Bonsoirée
· Goose Island Brewpub
· Grahamwich
· Kuma's Corner
· Metropolis Coffee Company
· Salud Tequila Lounge
· Starfruit Cafe
· The Smoke Daddy

I wonder if Chicago Mag. will get an invite to the food preview party?

    BAM! Foodie jokes, I dig.

Last year Kuma's had like 4 or 5 different burgers but they were the real burgers, not toned-down for the fest or anything.

I'm actually excited about Bonsoiree. Always wanted to go there but didn't want to spend the cash, this could provide a nice sample for me.

  • Their food offering is still to be announced.  I doubt it's the full menu - but they may pick one burger.
