Summer is officially here, readers and the forecast couldn't be much better if you bribed Tom Skilling. Actually, given the glass half full prediction at Chicagoweathercenter.com, we're hard pressed to believe someone didn't. Skilling Central calls for mostly cloudy skies today with the winds picking up force throughout the day and a chance for some severe weather. But the focus is on the positives. Accuweather isn't sugar-coating the forecast at all. Both forecasts call for the highest temperatures the Chicago area has seen since early June.
