Our Town's baseball clubs sat through last night's storms to put this game in the books at u.S. Cellular Field. Paul Konerko homered in his fifth straight game, a solo shot in the first inning, while Juan Pierre had a sacrifice RBI and the two teams turned it over to their respective bullpens after a rain delay of one hour, 44 minutes.

Jesse Crain picked up the win with 1-2/3 innings of relief, while Jess Samardzija earned the loss. The Cubs and Sox complete the South side half of the Crosstown Classic tonight.
