One of the more sane, manageable, and eclectic music-going experiences in Chicago is set to return after a 2-year absence. According to the Hideout website, the Hideout Block Party will return on Sept. 24th.

The block party has been host to memorable concert experiences from the likes of Bloc Party, Art Brut, Andrew Bird, The Frames, and Monotonix (pictured above), amongst other Hideout veterans who've come back to repay their respects that the small club showed in booking them at the nascent stages of their careers.

In 2009, the Hideout Block Party was put off in order to host the 15th anniversary party of Bloodshot Records, while the following year saw the Hideout host the Mad Decent block party.

More info will come soon. In the meantime, check out Robbie Fulks paying tribute to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in 2008. Get excited, people.
