Sailor Jerry To Douse Cobra Lounge With Music

By Tankboy in Arts & Entertainment on Jul 6, 2011 6:00PM

2011_07_SJUS_CobraLounge.jpg While our days and early evenings between July 15-17 will be wholly occupied with the Pitchfork Music Festival a new option has surfaced for keeping the party going after the fest winds up each day.

In previous years Cobra Lounge has benefited from its proximity to Union Park, home of the P4K music fest, attracting festival-goers because of its food and its option as a place to just settle down and relax and catch your breath at the end of the evening.

This year they're upping the ante to ensure a packed house each night with a three-day music series put on by Sailor Jerry including White Mystery, Mickey, Mannequin Men, The Hollows, Gypsyblood and more.

The vibe is definitely hewing close to the confines of the garage(rock) and the groups are in the vein of "top local talent" so we're guessing that Cobra's gonna no longer be the place to catch your breath after each day of the P4K music fest ... but it's going to be a terrific destination if you're hankering to keep the party going into the wee hours of the morn before getting up early the next day and doing it all over again.
