Your First Look at Rob Lowe as Drew Peterson

Nine hours in a makeup chair and Rob Lowe is still too pretty to play Drew Peterson. (Photo via Lifetime.)
Remember a few weeks back when it was announced that Rob Lowe would play Drew Peterson in a Lifetime biopic? (Because Burt Lahr from The Wizard of Oz is dead and Jim Belushi wasn't available?) Here's your first look at Lowe as DPete.

According to People magazine, it takes nine hours in a makeup chair for Lowe to vaguely pass as the noxious Peterson.

Let's repeat: nine hours for that? Who's the makeup artist on this film? Rick Baker? Whoever the makeup artist, he or she has one major obstacle to overcome - Rob Lowe is one pretty man.

But can he play a jagoff?

Agreed.  He needs to look fatter and dumber.

  • or he has to actually start looking his age.

Whaaa... that time can't be right, maybe the first time perfecting the look.

I had to read it twice before I realized it meant nine hours for the makeup. I missed the "makeup chair" and read nine hours as the amount of time it took to tell the story, I thought that sounds about right to bore the hell out of people.

It LIT-trally looks like he's wearing a Halloween costume.  And that's LIT-trally not how professional Hollywood makeup should look.

  • ChicagoD

No, if it were a Halloween costume he'd be a "slutty Drew Peterson"
