Free Stuff - Slurpees at 7-Eleven Today

Thanks to our sister site LAist for the heads-up on this one. Today is an important day in American culinary history - the 84th birthday of 7-Eleven. To celebrate, the chain will be giving away free 7.11 oz slurpees all over the country - 5 million of them. They're gonna go fast, so get yours early!

The promotion is slightly limited (aren't they always) and it's only "while supplies last." So, fair warning, you may want to call in advance if you plan to go out of your way. On the other hand, if you walk past a 7-Eleven on the way to work, remember that free food doesn't count on your diet plan.
