The Weeknd's latest mixtape dropped yesterday and it's titled Thursday, but we can think of nothing better to to listen to on a Friday. This is music to have sex to, to come down to, to regret to, to get dressed to go out to and to wallow so deeply in -- submerge yourself completely -- as to cause you to not have any idea which way is up and not care.

This is a good time to be a fan of breathing R&B unafraid of evolution. Between The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, Theophilus London and Van Hunt it appears we're entering a new golden age of artists delving deep within the structure of soul without feeling beholden to repeating the past.
