Chicago-Bound Amtrak Train Derails in Nebraska
An Amtrak train en route to Chicago from San francisco to Chicago carrying 175 passengers derailed in southwestern Nebraska this morning.
The California Zephyr derailed around 8 a.m. this morning near Max, NE, by the border with Colorado and Kansas. Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari confirmed one person was injured in the derailment. the rail service is renting buses so that passengers may continue their trips east.
