Before Greta Garbo achieved legendary status as a recluse, she was one of the greats of the silent screen. Tonight's closing film of the Silent Film Society of Chicago's "Silent Summer" film series showcases the starpower Garbo possessed with a screening of The Mysterious Lady. garbo stars as a Russian spy who falls for a a military officer and begins turning on her handlers. Cooking Demonstration

Public House chef David Blonsky is hosting a free cooking demonstration at Kenmore Live Studio 7 p.m. tonight. Blonsky will demonstrate some of the restaurant’s favorite dishes that incorporate tantalizing twists like beer-infused dishes, housemade sauces and rubs, flights and bites, food and beer pairings, to replicate at home for the perfect backyard date night.
