One for the Road: RIP David "Honeyboy" Edwards

Sad news heading into the day's home stretch with word of the passing of David "Honeyboy" Edwards. Mr. Edwards died from congestive heart failure at the age of 96.

Mr. Edwards moved to the South Side of Chicago in 1856 and was a direct link between Chicago and the Mississippi delta. He was also one of the remaining direct links to Robert Johnson and continued to gig until his body started to slowly be unable to handle the rigors of the road. Normally we would avoid the song "Sweet Home Chicago." Today we feature it in tribute to one of the originators of the blues.
