Alpana Singh Clues Kathie Lee and Hoda to Illinois Wine

People who watch Today during its fourth hour tune in more for the mid-morning drunken shenanigans of Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb than being updated on the latest breaking news.

Alpana Singh joined the Biddies for a tasting of wines made in America. Singh has been championing Illinois wine the past year or so and she brought selections from Blue Sky Vineyards in downstate Makanda and Prairie State Winery in Genoa.

The lack of drained glasses in the video is mitigated by Kotb and Gifford picking Blue Sky's Vignoles as their favorite of the white wine selections, while Kotb selects Prairie State's Cabernet Franc as her favorite red selection.

It's a wonderful showing for Illinois wine.
