You Morning Wake-Up Call for September 1, 2011
Yesterday marked the climatological end of summer. Not that we'll notice today. We're primed for what Skilling Central calls "warmest September open in 58 years." It's alright now but the mercury, humidity and heat index all climb this afternoon. The Illinois EPA has issued an air quality warning for sensitive groups; some heat indexes in the area will reach triple digits.
