Remember the rumors last month about how Pabst Brewing owner Dean Metropoulos was looking at severing ties between their Old Style brand and its 60-year relationship with Wrigley Field? It isn't happening, at least for the next two years.

Pabst and the Cubs announced a new agreement today to keep the relationship between the two through the 2013 season. A press release heralding the announcement quotes Metropoulos as saying "It was important for us at Pabst Brewing Company to continue this longstanding tradition."

The new agreement calls for updated Old Style signage throughout Wrigley Field, more engaging fan events and additional promotional opportunities next season. Metropoulos will also throw out the first pitch for the Old Style-sponsored Fan Appreciation Day Sept. 16. 62 fans at the game will receive Cubs Cash (enough to keep you floating in the pure brewed beer from God's Country) and Old Style gifts.

Say what you will about Old Style -- and I could say a lot -- but I'd rather drink that than any bullshit garbage junk piss from Budweiser.
