Superman Film Now Shooting in Town

Filming for the new Superman movie began downtown yesterday. The Tribune's Luis Gomez asked a security guard what the name of the movie shoot. The guard replied "Autumn Frost," which is the code name for Zack Snyder's Superman: Man of Steel.

The Board of Trade's iconic Jackson Boulevard edifice will serve as the exterior of the Daily Planet, while interiors for the fictional Metropolis newspaper will be shot inside Willis Tower.

Shooting will run through Sept. 17.
