An Oil Drive in Lakeview?

The last time we stepped foot in Trader Todd's the place had less watertight integrity than a rowboat with a screen door for a keel. But we're piqued by their "oil drive" tonight from 5-8 p.m.

Trader Todd's "tiki bus" is powered by used cooking oil. In honor of this new green initiative (from an unlikely source) they're asking people to bring their sealed containers of used cooking oil. This will gain them entrance to the beer garden party and a basket of free fries. There will be an all you can eat fish fry for $8.99 and Goose Island Green Line IPA by Goose Island will be available for $3. Trader Todd himself (which we thought was long a cartoon) will be whipping up a batch of the bio-diesel for all to see, a steel drum player will be on hand and cruises on the new greenafied bus will be available.
