Southern Mac and Cheese Truck to Open a Store

Our constant complaint about food trucks: They never come to us! Of course, we live and work in strange, far-flung neighborhoods, so this isn't really a complaint that they should feel obliged to do anything about. However! The Southern Mac and Cheese truck is going to make it a little easier to predictably get that gooey goodness - they're opening up a storefront. Yes. It's mindblowing - from restaurant to truck based on a restaurant to restaurant based on a truck based on a restaurant. Whew.

Limited information about the store has come out over the last few days. It's going to be at 60 E. Lake Street. Penny Pollack, of Chicago Magazine, tweeted out that the store should be open in 2 weeks. Last night, The Southern mac and Cheese Truck posted a photo on Facebook (at right) of the upcoming shop. We'll keep you informed - but we can tell you right now that lines will be very, very long.
