Want to be a loaded biker? By "loaded" we mean "loaded down with cargo" of course! If you're getting tired of hauling your wares in a messenger bag or want to add some cargo options (or people) to your bike, West Town Bikes has a great event this evening.

Organized by Grid Chicago's Steven Vance, the Cargo Bike Roll Call will round up cargo bike owners who want to show off their setups and give cyclists ideas on how to equip their rides to haul everything from groceries to children.

We hear there will be some snacks and drinks on hand, and the event is open to families, novices, serious bikers and anyone else who is cargo curious. Cargo Bike Roll Call is free, though you should RSVP at their Facebook page. Staff from bike shops around the city will be on hand to answer questions, and there will be a contest for cyclist with the best cargo bike or cargo setup.

If we had our druthers, this baby would take home the top prize.

The Cargo Bike Roll Call will be on the sidewalk of West Town Bikes, located at 1147 N. Campbell from 6-9 p.m. tonight, free
