Man Caught Using iPhone to Take Upskirt Photos at Renegade Craft Fair

2011_9_12_iPhone.jpg From the "doing stupid things with your smartphone" department: A teacher at trendy Francis W. Parker School was arrested at Renegade Craft Fair yesterday, where he was using his iPhone to take upskirt photos of women visiting the festival.

35-year-old Jeremy Lee was allegedly caught on surveillance cameras in the act, using an umbrella to hide what he was doing. Lee was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of video recording a person’s body without their consent. School is indeed back in session.

I had the same thing happen to me once -- having someone take a picture under my skirt without my permission, not taking the picture of someone else.  I was riding down one of those long escalators  in Vegas and  a bunch of rowdy frat boys were behind me. They were already bothering me as we waited in line to use the escalator.  Once we got on, I knew something might've been up because of the comments/snickering/giggling I overheard. Suddenly, I felt something lightly brush my leg.  I looked down and there was a hand pointing a camera to take a picture underneath my skirt. I yelled at the them to stop it.  They claimed they just dropped the camera and were trying to pick it up.  I didn't believe them and kicked the hand holding the camera and then kicked the camera down a couple of stairs.   I then bolted down to the bottom, pushing the other passengers aside.

Even though, in the grand scheme of things, it was really nothing, It was still creepy and I can't believe how angry and violently I reacted.  I'm normally a laid-back person.

For the record, I wasn't wearing anything skanky, tight, shiny, glittery, or whore-looking. (Not that it should matter anyway -especially in Vegas.)  My skirt was at an appropriate length of just hitting the the top of my knee.  And, that incident was the nail in the coffin for my total dislike of that town.

  • so many puns.  damn.  this is pretty funny.  what a creeper.  hope he has to make out with dudes in jail.
