The smoke from a 60,000-acre wildfire in northeastern Minnesota has blown into the area filling the sky with a haze and a thick smell of smoke. The fire has burned in Minnesota since lightning struck on Aug. 18. Winds blowing toward the south brought the smoke across Wisconsin and into the Chicago area this afternoon. Meteorologists expect the smoke to linger overnight before dissipating.
