Rainbow PUSH Coalition Employee Says He Was Fired for Being Gay

A former employee is suing the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and Jesse Jackson for discrimination because he says the organization fired him because he is gay. Tommy Bennett filed a complaint earlier this year, saying his coworkers mocked and harassed him. He has since been laid off. The Tribune writes:

In the lawsuit, Bennett alleges that one of his co-workers led a prayer during a volunteer meeting and stated “bind these homosexual spirits that are in the office” and “get these homosexuals out of here and do it in Jesus’ name.”
