Social Media Week Hits Chicago

2011_9_19_social_media_week.jpg In recent years social media, for better and worse, has changed the way we can obtain and disseminate information, do business, network and communicate and make something of our idle hands and thoughts. The purpose of Social Media Week is to serve as a global platform connecting people, content, and conversation around emerging trends in social and mobile media. It's grown in two years from being held solely in New York City to a global event in twelve cities, including Chicago, where social media is consumed as often as an Italian beef sandwich.

Chicago's list of Social Media Week events and seminars, like social media itself, runs the gamut from helping businessmen and publicists develop a strategy for using it to WTF?
