Hideout Block Party Loses Closer

We're looking forward to Saturday's Hideout Block Party in a way we haven't since the Touch & Go Records 25th anniversary, all on the merits of its "Holy Shit" diverse lineup.

Hideout sent out an email today announcing the Block Party's closer, New Orleans Bounce Music diva Big Freedia, recently had surgery for a stomach ulcer and will miss a slate of shows, including her closing set at the Block Party Saturday.

Big Freedia's cancellation doesn't make us clamor for this year's lineup any less.
