Young Blond Woman Robs a Bank in River North

A young blond woman robbed a Chase Bank in River North this morning. Police say she is a 20-something woman, who was wearing tight pants -- either black or dark denim -- dark sunglasses and a black-and-white trucker cap. The woman implied she had a gun, received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

Well, it isn't every day we hear about women robbing banks, especially without the help of a "Clyde" to their "Bonnie." Back in May, ABC News reported that more women are "invading a time-honored male domain." ABC writes:

FBI numbers show that the percentage of women committing bank heists has risen from 5.4 percent in 2003 to 7.08 percent last year. The increase is especially marked among white women, experts say.
