Mike Ditka. Joel Quenneville. Any number of police officers, firefighters and city employees. Chicago is known for its affinity for men with mustaches and the American Mustache Institute has honored the City of Big Whiskers by naming Chicago "America's Most Mustache-Friendly City." (Ed. Note: As of post time the link is overloaded with traffic requests.)

As a result, Chicago will host AMI's annual "Stache Bash" Oct. 28 at Joe's on Weed. The event will also kick off Movember, the global mustache-growing charity campaign raising awareness and funds for cancers affecting men. Funds raised for Movember will benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Start growing the flavor savers, gentlemen.

Sorry, Novembeard has been taken. Manuary is also taken, and there is a strict no shaving policy for that. Perhaps we can get you into a nice Mocktober? Possible a Maystache?

Mustached American links ALWAYS work. In fact, we coined Billy Dee Williams' epic phrase, "Everytime." Regardless, the American Mustache Institute thanks you for your patronage.
